Survey: Residents increasingly satisfied with community

Grove City earned high marks from its residents in the 2015 Community Attitudes Survey.
Ninety-one percent of survey respondents have a positive view of Grove City as a place to live, an all-time high result in the 11 surveys conducted since 1992, said Marty Saperstein, whose public-opinion research company, Saperstein Associates, conducted the survey last summer.
Saperstein reviewed the results of the survey at the City Council meeting April 4.
Five hundred residents were interviewed by cellphone or landline for the survey, Saperstein said.
Six percent of residents surveyed rated Grove City as an average place to live and 3 percent rated it as fair or poor, he said.
Eighty-six percent believe the city is heading in the right direction, and among residents who have lived in the Grove City area more than five years, six out of 10 believe the quality of life in the community is better than it was five years ago, he reported.
