Larger airport would help city grow
The Columbus Dispatch – October 11, 1993
Franklin County residents have a good impression of Port Columbus, according to a survey commissioned by the Columbus Airport Authority and the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce.
However, a sizable number, 73 percent, believe that a larger airport would help Columbus prosper and grow, according to the survey.
The telephone survey of 405 people, conducted in June by Saperstein Associates, a local research organization, shows that 84 percent of those sampled have a favorable impression of the airport.
Concerning location, 65 percent like the present site. Another 22 percent would rather see the airport moved to Rickenbacker, while 9 percent would prefer it elsewhere.
